The second edition of this famous 19th c. Italian recipe book (first published in 1888), divided into two parts: the first (in 5 chapters) deals with food products, kitchen utensils, various menus and quality and carving of meats. The second, in 24 chapters, is dedicated to recipes. The author also wrote a similar work on Milanese cuisine. Period inscription (dated 1905) to front free endpaper. Other than lacking most of the spine label, this is in very good condition, and quite scarce.
